The Space Project is delivered by a consortium of Connect Northern Rivers, Agency in Design, and the Githabul Rangers. The consortium has a strong history of working in collaboration and this project grew from existing plans for youth development projects in each community.
The Space Project brings together Indigenous practitioners across identified industry areas to develop participants’ skills and capacities with an emphasis on fostering a vibrant community of future leaders. Through collaborative initiatives and hands-on experiences, participants not only enhance their professional abilities but also engage in meaningful cultural exchanges that celebrate and honor their heritage.
This project is dedicated to nurturing a supportive environment where individuals can share knowledge, gain insights from experienced mentors, and collaborate on innovative approaches to Indigenous community needs. Ultimately, the aim is to empower these emerging leaders to make impactful contributions within their sectors while staying rooted in their cultural identity and values.
